Rocketrip does not currently reward this type of travel behavior. Travel dates must match Price to Beat dates exactly in order for a trip to be eligible for Rocketrip Points. In cases like this, the savings for choosing a red eye flight are applied to the flight Price to Beat, not the hotel Price to Beat.
